Refund and Returns Policy

Learn about Maharaja’s refund and returns policy, including eligibility, timelines, and important conditions.

Refund and Returns Policy

At Maharaja – Taste of Heritage, we are committed to providing quality food, thoughtful service, and a positive experience for every guest. This Refund and Returns Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and concerns are handled for dine-in, takeaway, online, and catering orders. Please read this policy carefully, as it applies to all services offered by Maharaja.

By placing an order, making a reservation, or using our catering services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Purpose of This Policy

Food service is different from retail businesses. All meals are prepared fresh, often to order, and cannot be reused or resold once prepared. This policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our business while maintaining food safety and quality standards.

Dine-In Orders

All dine-in meals at Maharaja are prepared fresh and served immediately. Once a dish has been prepared and delivered to your table, it is considered final and non-refundable.

If you believe there is an issue with your order, such as receiving the wrong dish or a quality concern, please notify our staff during your visit. We encourage guests to speak with a team member as soon as possible so we can address the concern in a timely manner.

We are happy to review issues reported during the dining experience and may offer a replacement or adjustment at our discretion. Refunds are not guaranteed and are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Requests made after leaving the restaurant may not be eligible for review.

Takeaway Orders

Takeaway orders are prepared fresh once the order is confirmed. Because of this, we do not accept returns on takeaway food.

If you receive an incorrect item or notice a quality issue at the time of pickup, please inform our staff immediately before leaving the restaurant. We will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue when reported promptly.

Once takeaway food has left the restaurant premises, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds. This policy helps us maintain food safety standards and ensure fairness.

Online Orders

Online orders are processed based on the details provided by the customer. Please review your order carefully before submitting it.

If there is a technical issue such as a duplicate charge, incorrect billing, or system error, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details. Valid payment errors will be reviewed, and refunds may be issued if confirmed.

Refunds are not provided for incorrect orders placed by the customer, including incorrect items, quantities, or pickup times.

Catering Orders

Catering orders require advance planning, ingredient sourcing, and staff scheduling. For this reason, catering payments are generally non-refundable once an order has been confirmed.

Cancellation or refund requests for catering must be made within the notice period agreed upon at the time of booking. The eligibility for a refund depends on how far along the preparation process is and whether ingredients or labor have already been committed.

If a cancellation is approved, any refund issued may be partial and will reflect costs already incurred. Refund decisions for catering services are made at Maharaja’s discretion.

Changes to catering orders must be requested in advance and are subject to availability.

Event and Large Group Bookings

For large group bookings or private events, specific payment and cancellation terms may apply. These terms are shared during the booking process and may differ from standard dine-in or takeaway policies.

Deposits for events or group bookings are typically non-refundable. In some cases, deposits may be transferable to a future date, subject to availability and approval.

No Returns on Food Items

Due to food safety and hygiene regulations, we do not accept returns of prepared food items under any circumstances. This policy applies to dine-in, takeaway, online, and catering orders.

Once food has been prepared or served, it cannot be reused, resold, or accepted back.

Allergies and Dietary Preferences

Guests are responsible for informing our staff of any allergies or dietary restrictions before placing an order. While we take reasonable care in preparation, Maharaja cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Refunds are not provided for allergy-related concerns if the information was not shared in advance.

Payment Methods

Refunds, if approved, will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible. Cash payments may be refunded in cash or by another agreed method.

Please note that processing times may vary depending on your payment provider or financial institution.

Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed as quickly as possible. However, the time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

Maharaja is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment systems.

Discretion and Fair Use

All refund and cancellation requests are reviewed fairly and respectfully. However, Maharaja reserves the right to decline refund requests that do not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.

Repeated or unreasonable refund requests may be declined to prevent misuse of this policy.

Changes to This Policy

Maharaja reserves the right to update or modify this Refund and Returns Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page and will take effect immediately.

We recommend reviewing this policy periodically to stay informed.
